Street Pastors

Street Pastors are nationally celebrating their second decade, now patrolling the streets of all our cities and most major towns.

We have been in Boston for over 8 years and Churches Together in Boston are responsible for providing the volunteer Street Pastors and supporting their work with Prayer Pastors.

We patrol the streets of Boston from 10.30pm to around 3am every Friday and Saturday night, engaging with young people enjoying themselves, the doorstaff of the clubs, and those keeping law and order.

The role is not about preaching heaven and hell, but one of caring, listening and helping. We believe that the church needs to be where people are, sharing in a non-judgemental way, providing a calming influence and simply being where Jesus wants us to be.

Anyone interested in serving as a Street Pastor or Prayer Pastor, please contact Mike Jessop, Co-ordinator Boston Street Pastors, on 01205 821300
